The AC installation symptoms we hear most
- We have paid for AC repair three summers in a row Aging compressor or coil with repeated refrigerant loss; replacement usually cheaper than the next repair
- The upstairs never gets cool no matter what we set it to Undersized or poorly laid out duct system, or a system sized for a smaller house than you have now
- The outdoor unit runs constantly and still cannot keep up Worn compressor, low capacity, or a unit that was undersized at the original install
- We added a room and there are no ducts out there Good candidate for a ductless mini-split rather than reworking the whole duct system
- The system is 18 years old and we are told parts are gone Obsolete refrigerant or discontinued components; planned AC replacement beats an emergency one
Whether you call it AC installation, air conditioner installation or AC replacement, the work is identical and so is the quote you approve first.
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Check the thermostat batteries and confirm it is set to cool with the fan on auto, since a dead thermostat can look like a dead system.
- 2Look at your breaker panel for a tripped breaker on the air handler or outdoor unit circuit, and reset it once. If it trips again, stop and call us.
- 3Change the filter if it is grey and packed. A choked filter starves airflow and makes a healthy system feel weak.
- 4Clear grass, leaves, cottonwood fluff and stacked firewood back a couple feet from the outdoor unit, and walk the house confirming supply and return vents are open and not blocked by furniture.

How do you decide what size system my house needs?
We measure the house, count and check windows, look at insulation and duct condition, and calculate the load. We do not simply match the tonnage of the old unit, because that unit may have been wrong from the start.
Is AC replacement better than one more repair?
It depends on the failed part and the age of the system. A blower motor on a ten-year-old unit is worth fixing. A compressor or leaking coil on a system pushing twenty years usually is not, and we will say so plainly.
Can I get central AC if my home has no ducts?
Yes, though a ductless mini-split is often the better route. It puts an indoor head where you need cooling without cutting up walls and ceilings for a full duct run. We will price both approaches for you.
How long does an installation take?
Most straight central AC replacements run one full day. Adding or reworking duct, converting from a different system type, or multi-zone ductless work can stretch into a second day. We tell you before we start, not partway through.
Do you work on the ductwork too?
We do. Sealing leaky joints, correcting undersized returns and repairing crushed runs in crawlspaces matters as much as the equipment. A new system pushing air through bad duct will disappoint you.
How far will you travel for an install?
We cover routes across Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee, including rural hill-country addresses. Tell us where you are when you call and we will be straight with you about scheduling and travel time.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.
- Step 2
We schedule around travel
Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.
- Step 3
Diagnose, then explain
We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us
- Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
- Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
- We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
- Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
- All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
