The AC symptoms we hear most
- Air is blowing but it feels warm Refrigerant loss, dirty coil or a compressor not running
- The outdoor unit hums and the fan will not spin Failed capacitor, contactor or condenser fan motor
- It runs all afternoon and never reaches the setting Undercharged system, restricted airflow or an oversized heat load
- Breaker trips every time the AC starts Hard-starting compressor, shorted wiring or a motor drawing too much current
- Water on the floor or ice on the lines Blocked drain, low airflow or a refrigerant leak freezing the coil
People call this air conditioning repair, air conditioner repair, air conditioning service or AC repair. Same visit, same written quote, same technician.
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Check the thermostat is set to cool with a temperature below the room reading, and swap in fresh batteries if the screen is dim or blank.
- 2Look at your electrical panel for a tripped breaker on the air handler or outdoor unit circuit, and reset it once. If it trips again, stop and call us.
- 3Pull the filter and hold it to the light. If you cannot see through it, put in a clean one of the same size.
- 4Clear grass clippings, leaves, cottonwood fluff and stacked items away from the outdoor unit so it can breathe, and walk the house confirming supply and return vents are open and not blocked by furniture.

How soon can you get out for emergency AC repair?
Call us and we will give you a real arrival window based on where you are and what is already on the board. Routes across the region cover long distances, so we would rather tell you the truth than promise a time we cannot hold.
Is it worth repairing an older air conditioner?
Often yes, especially if the failure is a capacitor, fan motor, contactor or drain issue. We look at the age, the condition of the coil and compressor, and whether the same part has failed before, then lay out repair and replacement side by side.
My AC is low on refrigerant. Can you just add more?
Refrigerant does not get used up, so if the charge is low there is a leak. We look for the leak, show you what we found, repair it where we can, then recharge. Topping off without a repair just buys a few weeks.
Why does my AC freeze into a block of ice?
Ice on the coil or lines usually means airflow is restricted or the refrigerant charge is low. Change the filter, open your vents, and shut the system off so it can thaw. Then call us so we can find the real cause.
What does a compressor repair involve?
First we confirm the compressor is actually the problem, because a bad capacitor or contactor can mimic a dead compressor. If the compressor is failed, we go over replacing that component versus replacing the outdoor unit, since the numbers get close on older systems.
I smell gas or my carbon monoxide alarm is going off. What now?
Get everyone out of the building first, then call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not flip switches or go back in. Once the utility clears the house, call us and we will check the heating and cooling equipment.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.
- Step 2
We schedule around travel
Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.
- Step 3
Diagnose, then explain
We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us
- Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
- Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
- We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
- Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
- All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
