Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across the Arkansas Ozarks and Little Red River country

Ductless Mini-Split Installation

We install ductless mini-split systems in homes across Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee, for rooms that have never had ductwork or never stayed comfortable. Common calls are additions, converted garages, finished attics, sunrooms, upstairs bedrooms that run hot, and older houses heated with propane or wood where adding duct runs is not practical. A mini-split gives that space its own cooling and heating without tearing into walls. Call us with the room size, ceiling height and what the space is used for, and we will schedule a look.

What the installation involves

A ductless system has two parts: an indoor head mounted on a wall or ceiling, and an outdoor condenser sitting on a pad or wall bracket. We connect them through a small opening with refrigerant lines, a drain and control wiring, then run a dedicated electrical circuit. Most single-room jobs are a one-day visit once materials are on the truck. On hill-country routes we confirm access and parking ahead of time, because getting equipment to the house is part of the schedule.]

What we check and install

Before we quote anything we measure the room, check insulation, window area and sun exposure, and look at your electrical panel for available capacity. That tells us the BTU size needed. Undersized units run constantly and oversized ones short-cycle and leave the air damp. We set the line-set route to keep it short and protected, pitch the condensate drain so it actually drains, and place the outdoor unit clear of roof runoff and drifting leaves. Then we start it up and check operation in both cooling and heating.

How we decide it is the right call

Ductless makes sense when the trouble is one or two rooms, not the whole house. If your existing ductwork is sound and the system is simply worn out, replacing central equipment is usually the better path and we will say so. We also look at what backs up your heat. Homes leaning on propane or wood sometimes want a mini-split as everyday heating with the old system held in reserve. If a repair on your current unit gets you there instead, we will price the air conditioning repair first.

Ductless Mini-Split Installation — quick answers

Can one mini-split heat and cool a whole house?

Usually not from a single head. Multi-head systems can cover several rooms off one outdoor unit, but doors, hallways and floor levels block airflow. We size room by room rather than assuming one head carries the house.

How big a hole goes through my wall?

About three inches, sleeved and sealed on both sides. It carries the refrigerant lines, drain and wiring. We place it behind the indoor head so it stays hidden, and we check for framing and wiring before drilling.

Will a mini-split heat in an Ozarks cold snap?

Heat pump heads produce heat well below freezing, though output drops as it gets colder. If your home relies on propane or wood backup, we plan the sizing around that so you are covered on the coldest nights.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.

  2. Step 2

    We schedule around travel

Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.

  3. Step 3

    Diagnose, then explain

We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us

  • Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
  • Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
  • We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
  • Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
