What the job involves
We pull the old furnace and set the new one, but the work around it matters just as much. A condensing furnace vents through PVC out a sidewall rather than up the old flue, so we plan that run first. It also produces condensate, which needs a drain and often a small pump. We check gas or propane line sizing, verify the electrical supply, and reconnect the ductwork with proper transitions. If a water heater shared the old chimney, we address that too. Most upgrades take a day.},{
What we check and install
Before we quote anything we measure the house: square footage, insulation, window count, duct condition and register placement. That load calculation sets the BTU size, and undersizing or oversizing both cause problems later. We inspect return air capacity, since a high-efficiency furnace moves air differently than a forty-year-old unit and starved returns show up as noise and short cycling. We install the furnace, the venting, the condensate handling, a matched thermostat and a filter setup you can actually reach. Then we run it through a full heating cycle and check combustion.
How we decide it is the right call
Age, repair history and how the house actually feels drive the decision. If your furnace is past twenty years, the heat exchanger is suspect, or you are buying parts twice a winter, replacement usually wins. If it is twelve years old with one bad igniter, we do the heating repair and leave it alone. Venting matters too, because some homes make sidewall venting simple and others do not. On hill-country routes with propane and wood backup, we factor in how the furnace shares the load.

Do I need new venting for a high-efficiency furnace?
Almost always, yes. Condensing furnaces vent through PVC pipe out a sidewall instead of the old chimney. We plan that route during the walkthrough and tell you before the install day what it will involve.
Will a high-efficiency furnace work with my existing ductwork?
Often it will, but we check return air capacity first. Older duct systems were sized for older furnaces, and undersized returns cause noise and short cycling. If changes are needed, we show you where and why.
What about the condensate drain in a cold crawlspace?
Condensate lines can freeze if they are run poorly. We route the drain to a conditioned or protected path, insulate where needed, and add a pump if gravity drainage is not available in your setup.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.
- Step 2
We schedule around travel
Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.
- Step 3
Diagnose, then explain
We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us
- Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
- Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
- We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
- Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
- All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
